All those awkward things I used to do in an attempt to get you to like me?

i.e. that yes/yes checkbox..

calling you, hanging up when you answered, and then calling you again..

I suddenly remember in bits and pieces, at the most random times, and can't help but feel second-hand embarrassment for my high school self.

One day -- when our recently re-established friendship has finally matured and solidified -- I would like to bring them up to you again, for a good laugh or two. Considering right now is definitely way too early.

Maybe next year. Or the year after that. Or you know, at our high school reunion in ten or twenty years..

Or maybe even never. I think I've pushed them in the back of my mind with the subconscious hope that you'd forget, too.
